Hypertufa Plant Trough Workshop

After our summer garden tour, Gayle Allen had so many requests for his fabulous plant troughs that he agreed to teach a class on how to make them! With a mixture of peatmoss, cement and perlite, you’ll form your own hypertufa plant trough. These planters imitate volcanic rock. They look modern and organic and are gorgeous planted with succulents, miniature alpine plants, hens & chicks or any other combination of plants. The finished size of the planter will be approximately 10x14x6”. Please bring a large Tupperware container to mix your ingredients in (approx. 20x16), rubber gloves and a mask or bandana. Recycled Wool Mittens Workshop

Create the perfect winter accessory to give as a gift or for yourself. These stylish winter mittens are warm, cozy and earth friendly. Bring your sewing machine and scissors and we will walk you through the simple art of mitten making from recycled wool. Turkey Window Pictures

Are you a natural gobbler? Test your gobbling skills
against the Ogden Nature Center’s two resident turkeys (appropriately named Tom, and Tommy). The more you learn about these unique birds the faster you’ll discover there is more to the turkey than meets the palate. Please meet in the Visitor Center.
I come to this restaurant weekly to eat my favorite burger. The price is slightly high but the service is great and the fries accompanied by the burger are great. If there is ever a problem with my food, the staff is more than willing to solve the problem and make sure you are satisfied before you leave.
