The weather is finally getting colder, and one of my favorite things about this time of year is sitting down to a hot cup of gourmet hot cocoa.

Local Utah company Stephen’s Gourmet Hot Cocoa is popular for having the richest, creamiest best tasting hot cocoa. Many people use the powder as an ingredient in a baking recipe, or a warm drink for the family after a fun day of being outside playing in the snow.

Stephen’s hot cocoa is also great this time of year for neighbor gifts, teacher gifts or co-worker gifts. The cans are cute on their own, but you can also dress them up like a snowman or a reindeer.

You can find your favorite Stephen’s Gourmet Hot Cocoa in most any local store, but if your shopping center doesn’t offer it, you can always purchase it online. The Stephen’s Facebook page has an online store where you can shop from and have it shipped directly to you, or a friend for a gift. They also frequently post recipes that you can make using your favorite hot cocoa flavor, so make sure to follow them on Facebook to find a new favorite!

I was lucky enough to be able to try three of their new flavors: Cookies n Crème, Italian Amaretto and Orange Crème.

Orange Crème: This was my 8 year old son’s favorite by far. He is a big fan of the orange crème popsicles, and said this tasted just like them. Out of the three, this was my favorite as well. It was definitely the creamiest. This is Stephen’s “new again” flavor. They are bringing it back this season from several years ago due to customer demand.

Cookies n Crème: This flavor was my 11 year old daughter’s favorite. She is a big fan of anything cookies and crème, so I think she decided this was her favorite right from the start. This is one of Stephen’s newest flavors.

Italian Amaretto: This one was really yummy, but seems to be one of those flavors that appeal more to adults than to kids. This is also one of their newest flavors this season.

  14. Since our event was going to be in the evening, I asked the event planning team for a cityside view so you can see the lights of the buildings reflecting off into the windows. It was totally worth every penny.
