Each year a shopping frenzy ensues with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. But this year, Hope Lodge Utah is bringing people together to celebrate more than consumerism with the national #GivingTuesday movement on December 2nd. Hope Lodge is currently under construction in downtown Salt Lake and will be a place for cancer patients from all over the West and their caregiver to stay while they receive treatment at the premier facilities in the Salt Lake Valley.
It is expected that a one night stay at Hope Lodge will cost American Cancer Society approximately $38 per patient, and the average stay of a patient is 21 days. So, the Society is now asking people to “Fund a night and change a life.” All donations as part of #GivingTuesday will go directly toward funding the Lodge for patients and caregivers to stay free of charge.
