“When a charitable organization has been around longer than the state it’s located in, you want to throw a big party,” says Ferris.

Salt Lake City, Utah — Neighborhood House, a non-profit organization committed to providing quality, affordable day care and support services to children and adults based on their ability to pay, is holding their annual Summer Celebration this Thursday, June 12th, beginning at 4PM. The event is free and open to the community and will also be celebrating the organization’s 120th year.

“Neighborhood House has been an integral part of the community for 120 years,” says Development Director, Jennifer Nuttall. “We are so excited to share these achievements with our neighbors and community and we hope all of you will join us.”

Summer Celebration, which celebrates the end of the school year each year, will feature live music and entertainment, a free hotdog dinner, carnival snacks, two bounce houses, prizes, games, and a free resource fair for families in need. The resource fair will include such community resources as Help Me Grow, Molina Healthcare, People Helping People, Comunidades Unidas, and more.

“This is a great opportunity for families and community to learn about the resources available to them,” says Maria Schwarz, Outreach Coordinator at Neighborhood House. “We’re excited to partner with these wonderful organizations.”

  1. I came for a party here last night and it was fabulous. They have added the intermezzo in between meals for guests to clean their palates as well as a dessert and candy table for everyone to enjoy.
