Last week we posted pictures of the Edutainment Center on our Instagram page, and because so many people asked about it, that we decided we probably should do a post with information about it!

The Edutainment Center is located inside the West Valley Family Fitness Center, located at 5415 West 3100 South. There is no separate admission fee for the Edutainment Center; it’s included in admission to the Fitness Center. Current admission fees can be found on the West Valley Family Fitness Center website.

The Edutainment Center is a giant playroom for kids of all ages. Kids 6 and under need to be supervised by an adult. My kids are 8 and 10, so it’s great that they can play in there while I work out. There is always a Fitness Center employee in there making sure kids are using nice language, and that there aren’t any problems.

The Edutainment Center includes a theater room, mini Harmon’s grocery store, kitchen, rocket ships, go-karts, video game console, Legos, Dance Dance Revolution, tree house, police station and more. Kids love using their imagination in all the different areas.

I love the little benches they have available for parents to sit at while their kids are playing, and the lockers available for a small fee (or bring your own lock) if you need to lock up your stuff.

Save your boxes and containers! Bring donations when you visit!

As you will notice in the mini grocery store, there are fun things the kids can “buy” and “take home” to the play kitchen. You can imagine with all the kids playing in there, the boxes and containers get torn and broken often. They have a supply closet in the back where they keep empty boxes of cereal, milk containers, laundry soap containers, etc. that they can bring out when the others get trashed and need to be thrown away.

As you go through your products at home, clean them out and bring them with you to the Edutainment Center to be stored in the back room. Last time we were there, the employees were telling us that their backroom supply for the mini grocery store was dwindling, and they can always use more donations.

This is a great way to donate to something without spending a penny! Just save all your empty containers, and bring with you!
