NEW YEAR’S EVE: Three Day EVE Celebration Begins Today!

EVE – 3 day New Year’s celebration

EVE is Utah’s unique family friendly celebration for New Years. The celebration starts tonight December 29th 2013 and goes through to right after midnight on January 1st 2014! This is an all age’s celebration!

Cost:

• $15 per person for a 3 day pass ages 10 and older

• $5 per person for 3 day pass ages 3-9

Here is a quick rundown of what is going on!:

9 venues of fun!

• Salt Palace – Bounce Town, BallRoom, hoopDeDoo, ComicCon and more indoor, warm, fun! Live music with Beyond 5, Smallpools, DJs and the midnight fireworks countdown! Native American Celebration, Navajo Winter Stories, The Children’s’ Theater Intro to Shakespeare Tragedies, Zivio Ethnic Arts Ensemble Balkan Fold Dance and Music, Sama Fogo Afro-Brazilian Dance, Capoeira, Fire!

• The Leonardo – Your Eve pass gets you entrance to your creativity and Upgrades are available to the special exhibit: Dead Sea Scrolls

• Discovery Gateway – Entry includes the newly opened Intermountain Saving Lives Exhibit

• Clark Planetarium – Lasers 3D Sound in the Dome Theater

• Temple Square – Music. Families. Tradition – Activities here do not require an EVE pass.

• UMOCA (Utah Museum of Contemporary Art) – Presents artist-made karaoke videos with styles from jazz to heavy metal. Showcase your talent while viewing awesome contemporary art. Don’t miss the #secretEVE stroll between Discovery Gateway, UMPC, and Salt Palace. 14 artists have hidden art installation so grab your smartphone and Instagram and enter to win prizes!

• Off-Broadway Theater – Improv Comedy – 45 minute shows at the top of each hour

• Broadway Cinema – The Chaplin Review presented by Salt Lake Film Society is presenting a 99 minute program of 4 short films

• Utah Jazz – Home game vs. Charlotte Bobcats at 7pm on December 30th. You MUSH bring your original EVE proof of purchase (groupon, email confirmation) or purchase an EVE wristband from the Box Office. Jazz season ticket holders or those who already have tickets for the game can show their Jazz ticket in exchange for a 3 day EVE pass.

The Gateway Fireworks 7pm on December 31st – A special countdown for those kids or adults who may not make it to midnight OR you can catch two shows in one night!
