Heber Valley’s Western Music and Cowboy Poetry Gathering Rounds Up Top Entertainers
Some of the country’s best singers, pickers and poets will perform at 19^th annual event 

HEBER CITY, Utah (Oct. 2, 2013) — Heber Valley will celebrate its 19th annual Western Music and Cowboy Poetry Gathering Oct. 31 – Nov. 3 with some of the most recognizable western musicians and cowboy poets in the country, including Waddie Mitchell, Baxter Black, the Bar J Wranglers, Sons of the San Joaquin, and Joey + Rory.

This year’s line-up also includes Gary Allegretto, Best of the West award winner and five-time WMA (Western Music Association) award nominee, including entertainer of the year and instrumentalist of the year. He will be performing with Ian Espinoza and will also offer harmonica classes during the event. 

Fans of Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 will recognize the voice of Miss Devon, who was the singing voice of the character Jessie the cowgirl in both movies. 

What began 19 years ago as a one-night gathering with local cowboy poets sharing poems is now multiple days of entertainment at seven different venues, featuring entertainers from across the United States. Now averaging more than 12,000 attendees each year, Heber Valley’s Western Music & Cowboy Poetry Gathering has become one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the country.

“This year’s lineup reflects the richness of cowboy culture,” says Ted Caldwell, event director.  “Whether you grew up as a cowboy or just appreciate great music and poetry, this year’s gathering has something for everyone.” 

The 19th annual gathering will feature nine main concerts and shows; nonstop cowboy poetry and entertainment; more than 40 western booths with arts, crafts and cowboy gear; Mountain Man Traders Camp; Cowboy Church; yodel and harmonica classes; a Western Art show and sale; a Buckaroo Ball; the Cowboy Poetry Express Train; the Impact of the Horse trials and auction; the Buckaroo Fair, Cow Camp stage; Chuckwagon Stage and more.

Tickets for the Buckaroo Fair, Mountain Man Traders Camp, the Western Art Show and continuous music and poetry are $10 at the door. The cowboy steak dinner and show is $30 for general admission and $40 for VIP seating. Tickets for the Buckaroo Ball are$15.
