Mummies Of The World

March 22-23, 2013

WHAT: The Leonardo and People Water in partnership with Mummies of the World invite the community to join the celebration of United Nations Water Day on Friday, March 22 and Saturday March 23, 2013 from 10:00am-2:00pm. People Water will be onsite educating guests World Water Crisis and encourage Salt Lake City to make the “Pledge to Conserve”. All pledges made will be on display at The Leonardo Museum.

The Leonardo and People Water joined forces this fall to create The Leo Well Project, which raises money to build and repair wells that will serve about 7,300 people world-wide. Mummies of the World is supporting both People Water and the well project by offering a three-dollar discount to the exhibit for each bottle of People Water purchased at Whole Foods. One dollar of that discount will be donated toward building and maintaining wells in third world countries across the world.

The “Pledge to Conserve” People Water booth will feature:

  • Demonstrations calculating how much water we use throughout a normal day
  • Demonstrations showing how much fresh water we have left on the planet
  • The opportunity to sign a promise and plan to save water from that day forward on the pledge poster to be on display at The Leonardo Museum
  • Ways you can cut back usage of water: lawn care; bathing; cooking; laundry and more
  • T-shirts, bracelets, reusable water bottles and other prizes will be distributed
