This week I was able to tour a brand new, beautiful building at Thanksgiving Point called Brick Canvas. Over the next few weeks, I will be trying out all that Brick Canvas has to offer, and telling you all about it! Stay tuned……. (If you want to experience Brick Canvas, scroll to the bottom of this post for your chance to win a great prize, as well as receive a discount!)
About Brick Canvas
Brick Canvas opened on October 1, 2012, and was founded by Shelli Gardner as a way to bring together all of her favorite things in one place.
Upon arrival of Brick Canvas, I immediately noticed how beautiful the grounds and building are. The parking is convenient, and the pathways leading to the entrance of the building were beautifully groomed and maintained. The inside lobby is beautifully decorated by a professional decorator with all the latest and modern designs. A “holiday tree” stands in the corner, and is decorated according to the current season. This “holiday tree” is a family tradition that Shelli Gardner has in her own family home, and wanted to pass on to Brick Canvas.
At Brick Canvas, there are six different areas to experience. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as I experience each different part and write a review on them:
Bikram Yoga – Also known as “hot yoga”, this is a great way to get in shape and burn a lot of calories. This method of yoga is designed to work every joint, muscle, and tendon in your body, leaving you more limber and focused than before. It also can help you get fit quicker than many other types of exercise, thanks to the cleansing effects of the heat. Each Bikram Yoga class is 90 minutes and includes the 26 Bikram poses. Read more about Bikram Yoga and view the class schedule on their website. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Pinterest.
Lyceum – This form of exercise is to help get your body moving by using your own body weight. Classes start every hour, on the hour, and a full class schedule can be found on their website. Trish from Lyceum also provides workshops where you can learn about healthy eating and other aspects of keeping yourself fit. You can connect with them on Facebook.
Sage Leaf Spa -READ MY REVIEW! – Sage Leaf Spa offers a variety of spa services, including massages and facials. They use aromatherapy in each session to enhance your experience and give you the ultimate desired effect you are looking for. Lockers are provided to leave your cell phone and other electronics in order to achieve full relaxation. A “quiet room” is available before and after your session. You can connect with them on Facebook. (Read below for a special giveaway!)
Vivesque – READ MY REVIEW! - From the minute you walk in Vivesque, you receive VIP treatment. You are given a complimentary drink, and pampered throughout your hair experience. Professional stylists will consult with you on your hair needs, and recommend specialty hair products developed for your specific hair type. Manicures and pedicures are also available. You can connect with them on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.
Café Fraiche – Everything on the menu at Café Fraiche is meant to enhance your experience at Brick Canvas. None of the items on the menu will “ruin” the workout or spa service you have just experienced. You don’t have to feel guilty about eating here after a great workout!
The Loft – A perfect place for a celebration or corporate event. The Loft has wide, open space to fit any of your banquet needs.
Child Care Center – This is currently in the works. Brick Canvas knows how hard it is for moms to get out when they have young children. Stay tuned to the Brick Canvas website, Facebook page and Twitter for updates on this.
