THE GHOSTS OF CAMP FLOYD

Is Camp Floyd hauntedThe public is invited to participate in a paranormal investigation of Camp Floyd on Saturday October 19, 2013, or Saturday 26, 2013.  Because of the popularity of this program, two sessions will be conducted this year with each date limited to 30 participants.  Admission fees are $5 per person.  Online-reservations are required by going to:

October 19th and October 26th

Online reservations will begin September 30, 2013.

Picture 066Participants are encouraged to view the museums at Camp Floyd during the day light beginning at 6 pm, with the event starting at 7pm and ending at 9pm.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own flash lights, camera cables, film, digital and infrared cameras where park staff will assist participants in the use of their equipment in finding paranormal orbs, mists and sounds.

A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize participants with paranormal investigating techniques and findings as the investigation starts.  All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation, and will have the opportunity of viewing photographs along with other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site. 

Established in 1858, Camp Floyd housed the largest concentration of U.S. troops then in the United State.  The troops were sent to Utah to suppress a rumored Mormon rebellion which never took place.  The army was recalled back east in 1861 for the Civil War emergency. 

Camp Floyd State Park is located in the town of Fairfield, Utah, 22 miles southwest of Lehi, Utah on State Highway 73.  For more information on this event or Camp Floyd, contact the park at 801-768-8932.
