For FREE Summer Fun, there are 6 things you need to have on your "Must Do Summer List":

Nobletts Hike

1. OUTDOOR MOVIES
   There are so many outdoor movies around the state, I have a hard time keeping up with making sure the schedule I have posted on my blog is up to date! Some of the places that are participating in this include the Utah State Capitol, Snowbird, and many parks around the state.
2. HIKES
   There are many great hikes around Utah. Ensign Peak, Nobletts and waterfall hikes are all popular. If you don't want to go far from home, Red Butte Garden is the perfect place to go, especially with younger kids, and there will be a FREE admission day on July 24th and Sept 3rd.
3. LEARN ABOUT UTAH'S HISTORY
   Teaching your kids about the history of Utah can be fun and entertaining. Take them somewhere they can play a pioneer game. Benson Grist Mill in Tooele, Jones' Dairy in Taylorsville, and Cove Fort in Beaver are all FREE and offer great activities to learn about the pioneers. Fun At The Mill is happening at Benson Grist Mill on Thrs. July 19th, and Cove Fort Days are the first Friday and Saturday in August. Both events are completely FREE! 4. HAVE FUN IN THE WATER
   Splash pads are popping up all over the place, and most of them are FREE! I have a list of the splash pads in Utah. They are a great, free way to cool off without spending money.
5. DO SOMETHING EDUCATIONAL
   Did you know the Clark Planetarium is free?!?! You can go there, learn about space, walk on the moon and Mars, all for FREE! There are additional charges for movies and lazer light shows, but just to go in and experience the exhibits is 100% free! Many museums in Utah are also free, and are found all over the state.
6. TAKE A SELF GUIDED TOUR

   The Utah Heritage Foundation has put together self-guided tours that you can download or print. Many of them can be added to your iPod and listened to as you walk the tour. I have also put together a self-guided tour with a scavenger hunt of the SLC Cemetery.
