READER REVIEW: iWorlds at Thanksgiving Point

Our reader, Laural Wilcox, attended the new iWorlds exhibit at Thanksgiving Point, and this is what she had to say:

The cost is $15.00 per person and they have many different times that you can go. For most missions you will want to make sure you have at least 6 people and make sure you have reservations. They have a list of times on their website at www.iworlds.com and in order to make reservations you will need to call them at 801-768-2300.

The iWorlds experience at Thanksgiving Point is an interactive experience. It’s different every time because you make the choices. When you first go in you get to choose a position. You can choose anything from Captain to Sensor officer to Security officer. Each position has a different job in the ship and very different responsibilities. After going over rules and learning about the mission, you get transported into the space ship. Inside the space ship you will get seated at your own personal station. At each station, you learn about the different controls, and then you are off!

For the mission we went on, our mission was to save 1,300 people stranded on the planet “New Earth” and send some papers to an ally. Once we got into the ship, the captain gave us a pep-talk, and the Navigation Officer drove us towards the planet. At one point, some intruders got onto the ship and almost sabotaged the mission. Also, the ship was attacked! The security officers killed the intruders, the weapons officer broke all of the missiles, and the Captain took the all the credit. It was non-stop action on the spaceship!

Thanks Laural for letting us know about this! I am super excited to check it out! :)
