Families are invited to join BYU’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures (MPC) in an evening of exploration and adventure at its annual event: “Passports: A Cultural Discovery Day.” The family night runs from 4-7 p.m. and provides free fun, food, and facts.
Families are invited to join BYU’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures (MPC) in an evening of exploration and adventure at its annual event: “Passports: A Cultural Discovery Day.” The family night runs from 4-7 p.m. and provides free fun, food, and facts.
“Passports” is an event designed for the entire family to enjoy as they gain knowledge of cultures form all over the world. This year, the booths will cover Guatemala, Ancient Utah, Polynesia, Ancient Greece, and Africa. Booths will include a brief educational background and a hands-on activity. Each family member will be given a passport booklet that will be stamped at every booth after completing the activity.
“This event is a great way to learn about people from different walks of life,” Anna McKean, promotions manager at the MPC, said. “It is also a lot of fun and a great activity for a summer night.”
“Passports” is an open house and will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., allowing families to come and go depending on their personal schedules. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.
