Utah Museum Day

Utah Free Museum Day, in conjunction with the nationwide Smithsonian Museum Day, is Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Governor Declares September 25 as
"Utah Museum Day"

In recognition of the important role museums have in protecting Utah's treasures, Governor Gary R. Herbert signed a public service document announcing September 25, 2010 as "Utah Museum Day."


Utah Free Museum Day, in conjunction with the nationwide Smithsonian Museum Day, is Saturday, September 25, 2010.
This day is a celebration of the ways museums enrich our lives and our communities. We hope you will join us! This is a special statewide event where participating museums are open on the same day, offering special activities with a free admission. Start planning now to make this day a big event for your museum.
Utah’s 250 museums are the guardians of the state’s natural, cultural, and artistic heritage. All participating museums will be offering special activities with free admission. Museums will be highlighting their treasures through their exhibits that tell the stories of many facets of our state.
