How many times have you taken your kids to see Santa, only to stand in line for a long time and end up with cranky, restless kids by the time they actually get to sit on Santa’s lap?

New this year at Gardner Village, The Great Christmas Adventure has a new way to entertain the kids while they wait to see Santa and Mrs. Claus instead of just waiting in line.

Located inside a large tent next to Naborhood Bakery & Cafe on the North end of the Village, The Great Christmas Adventure begins with a walk past window displays of Christmas villages around the world. Kids also get a chance to test a fun jumping toy and get their wiggles out in the Toy Testing area.

After the village displays, kids enter an area where they help build snowmen. There are giant balls of “snow” and boxes of props that they use to build the snowmen. (This is to keep them busy while waiting for the Elf Transport).

After building snowmen, kids choose a present to deliver to Santa’s sleigh by the Elf Transport. Once aboard the Elf Transport, they pass by Christmas trees from the movies, such as White Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and then past Reindeer Ridge.

Elf Transport takes you to Santa’s sleigh, where kids and parents climb aboard a flight simulator and “soar” over famous Utah landscapes, all leading them to Mrs. Claus’ kitchen where kids get the chance to visit with Santa, and are served hot cocoa and cookies by Mrs. Claus.
