Because Valentines Day is only one day a year, and this year it falls on a Tuesday, chances are you may not be able to celebrate with your loved one exactly on Valentines Day. It's not important when you celebrate, only that you take time to celebrate with your loved one. Here are a few activities you could do if you are celebrating beforehand, on Valentines Day, or after. Celebrate Before Valentines Day
Sundance Full Moon Cross Country Ski or SnowshoeFeb 6th and 7th, 2012Nordic Center (2 miles up Hwy. 92 from Sundance Resort) Cross Country Ski or Snowshoe by the light of the full moon. Plan a fun and unique date night to explore the amazing wooded trails at night. This is an unguided experience so you are free to roam the trails at your leisure. Marriage Week USAFeb 7-14, 2012Governor Herbert has declared February 7th - 14th as Marriage Week in Utah for 2012. The purpose of Marriage Week USA is to celebrate the importance of marriage in our communities. Individuals, couples, or organizations are invited to celebrate Marriage Week USA. Various workshops, classes, activities and events are held during this time.COST: Low-cost, $50 or less, many of them free.
Sphinxes and SweetheartsFriday Feb 10th, 2012Museum of Peoples and Cultures at BYUSphinxes and Sweethearts is a date night filled with activities that are themed after Ancient Egyptian Culture and Traditions.  The date night provides a unique experience and a break from the typical movie-and-popcorn type of date.  It features games for couples to compete in for prizes, Hieroglyph making, refreshments, and a chance to experience Ancient Egyptian culture.COST: $10 per couple

Provo Library 2012 Valentines BallSaturday, February 11th, 2012Provo Library BallroomThe annual Valentine’s Ball, held in the Provo City Library’s Ballroom, is a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine's Day.  This romantic evening includes dinner catered by Marvelous Catering Company, music by CB Jazz, and a rose for each lady. Tickets are twenty-five dollars each, fifty dollars per couple, and can be purchased at the Circulation Desk or by calling the Scheduling Office at 801-852-7691. Tickets will be available starting on Thursday, January 26. Celebrate On Valentines Day
Carriage Ride and Dinner at Blue LemonWe have all seen those couples taking a romantic carriage ride around downtown Salt Lake City. Make your reservation for Valentines night, and pick up your horse drawn carriage ride outside the South Entrance to Temple Square, on South Temple street. Enjoy a 30 minute ride for $50. TIP: This cost is for the ride, not per person. Each carriage can fit four adults, so split a carriage with another couple and only pay $25 per couple, leaving $25 for dinner! After, or before, your carriage ride, walk across the street of Temple Square to the Blue Lemon restaurant and enjoy a fabulous dinner. COST: $25 per couple for carriage ride (if split with another couple), and $25 for dinner, OR$50 for carriage ride.
