Thanks to generous sponsors, this year’s nature camps are very affordable for all!  So, what are your kids doing this summer?  If they love wild animals, trails and treks, exploring open spaces and all that grows there, and learning a little science just for fun – then check out the summer camps at the Ogden Nature Center.

The Ogden Nature Center’s summer camps were voted Best of the Beehive by Salt Lake City Magazine and the education director, Stefanie Miller, was dubbed “Miss Campfire!”  For 2014 the Nature Center’s education team has crafted some new and creative summer camps.

The Ogden Nature Center is offering a variety of camps designed for specific age groups.  There are age-appropriate experiences for ages 2 all the way up to 16. There are four categories of camps:
1 -- week-long day camps (with one night spent under the stars)
2 -- single day adventures (campers can pick and choose which days interest them the most)
3 -- little mini camps for toddlers and preschoolers
4 -- overnight family campouts with stars and s’mores of course!

ErinandTyinthemud (2)There are also openings for camp assistants (great experience for teens!)  The choices are many!  The Ogden Nature Center’s summer camp options are all listed at http://www.ogdennaturecenter.org/education/summer-camps.

The Ogden Nature Center has a highly qualified, fun team of teacher/naturalists.  With degrees in natural science, environmental education and other related fields, the teachers have varied expertise and they all love spending time with children in the great outdoors.

Scholarships are available for families needing financial assistance.  Please contact Stefanie Miller regarding scholarships at 801-621-7595.
