Salt Lake City, UT - August 12, 2013 - Rita’s Italian Ice, the nation’s largest Italian Ice concept with more than 600 outlets in 21 states opened its first location today at The Family Center (7186 Union Park Avenue) in Midvale.
Rita’s is known for its famous Italian Ice, a smooth and delicious treat, made with real fruit, and available in more than 65 flavors. The official grand opening will take place on September 13. To celebrate the opening of the first Rita’s in Utah, the first 50 guests in line will win free Italian Ice for an entire year, and all guests can enjoy a free regular Italian Ice in the available flavor of their choice, including Rita’s #1 flavor, Mango, and fan favorites such as Cherry, SWEDISH FISH®, Alex’s Lemonade, and Cotton Candy - just to name a few!
Rita’s new Utah-area developers and franchisees, Todd and Anna Larson are longtime local residents, and plan to open seven Rita’s locations and one mobile Rita’s Ice Truck by the end of 2014.
