Utah High School Rodeo Association Hosts State Finals
June 12–15 at Wasatch County Rodeo Grounds
Top 4 Qualifiers in Each Event Compete for Spot on the National Team;
Utah’s Team Seeks Eighth National Title
Who: Utah High School Rodeo Association
What: The Utah High School Rodeo Association (UHSRA) will host state finals June 12-15 at the Wasatch County Rodeo Grounds.
State qualifiers in each event will compete at the state rodeo finals. The top four qualifiers in each event at the state finals will compete at High School National Finals in Rock Springs, Wyo. July 14 - 20
In addition to a week of rodeo competition, the UHSRA will recognize/support student athletes who have excelled in both the arena and the classroom by awarding scholarships to further their education into college.
This year, the UHSRA will sponsor a Special Needs rodeo on June 14 at 4 p.m. The rodeo will feature horse rides, baby animals, bull riding, barrel racing and roping events. Each of the contestants will receive a prize and will also participate in the Grand entry at the rodeo that evening.
Wednesday-Friday performances start at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Special Needs Rodeo is Friday at 4 p.m.
Cow Cutting Championship Round is Saturday at 1 p.m.
Championship Performance Top 10 begins Saturday at 5 p.m.
