Homestead and Zermatt Resorts to Host Memorial Day Weekend Festivities

Midway resorts will kick off summer with a weekend full of activities for the entire family

The Zermatt and Homestead resorts will celebrate Memorial Day with a weekend of celebrations, providing fun for the whole family from Thursday, May 23, through Saturday, May 25.

Events

The Homestead and Zermatt resorts will celebrate the beginning of summer with a Cajun flair. Z’s Steak and Chop Haus at the Zermatt will present an elegant Cajun dinner featuring a variety of New Orleans inspired dishes and local’s favorite Chateaubriand on Thursday night. And, on Saturday, the Homestead will host the 2nd Annual Crawfish Festival featuring an authentic crawfish boil including fresh, live crawfish, blue crab with drawn butter and more as well as live New Orleans-style music.

Weekly summer events will also commence Memorial Day weekend at the Homestead, including Cowboy Campfires and the 11th annual Welcome Home Concert Series. Both events are free to the public and take place each Friday and Saturday throughout the summer. Listen to Joshua Creek, inspirational country artist, performing at the kickoff concert on Saturday, immediately following the Crawfish Festival.

Zermatt Resort Z’s Steak and Chop Haus Cajun Dinner: Thursday, May 23; $49 per person; wine pairings available for additional charge. Advanced reservations required: 866-643-2015.

Homestead Resort Cowboy Campfires: Every Friday through Labor Day at 8:30 p.m. The events are free.

Homestead Resort Crawfish Festival: Saturday, May 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. The event is free, but there is a charge for food and drinks. The crawfish boil is $25 for adults, $12 for ages 6 to 12 and $5 for 5 and under. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets are available in advance at HomesteadResort.com or Facebook.com/HomesteadResortUT or can be purchased day-of at the event.

Homestead Resort Summer Concert Series: Every Saturday through Labor Day at 7 p.m. Picnic dinners, including classic summer favorites, are available for preorder by calling 866-937-6288. Onsite concessions will also be available for purchase. A Special Summer Concert room package is also available and includes a guest room, picnic blanket and concert picnic dinner.
