Third Annual Worldwide on Historic 25th Street in Ogden


Ogden, Utah - Local restaurants and hundreds of international folk dancers and musicians will unite on Historic 25th Street for the third annual Worldwide on H25 on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 5 p.m. The cultural celebration will be filled with international dance, song and cuisine. The festivities are held in conjunction with the first stage of the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah.
A Parade of Nations will kick-off Worldwide on H25 at the Ogden Amphitheater beginning at 5 p.m. The parade will immediately follow the Tour of Utah Stage One awards presentation. Folk dancers and musicians dressed in colorful, traditional costumes from Columbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, France, India, Kenya and Indonesia will entertain from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The audience will be captivated by the international ambassadors performing in 15-minute segments, giving guests a true "Worldwide on H25" experience.  The parade and all performances are free.
Twenty local independent restaurants will serve authentic international cuisine on Historic 25th Street from 5 to 8 p.m.  Restaurants participating in the dining experience include Bistro 258, Canyon Market and Grill, Crowely Gallery and Café, The Garden Grill and Lounge, jasoh!, MacCool’s Public House, Roosters Restaurant and Brewery, Rovali’s Ristorante Italiano,  Sonora Grill, Timbermine, Tona Sushi Bar and Grill, Union Grill, Two Bit Street Café, Vintage Cupcake Company, Sitara India, Sandy’s Fine Food, Aroy-D Thai Cuisine, Cactus Reds and Soul and Bones.  
Patrons may purchase food tickets for $1 per ticket. Tickets may be redeemed at restaurant vendors of their choice.  Culinary samples will be priced between two and five tickets. Beverages, including a beer garden, will be available for purchase.
Worldwide on H25 is held in conjunction with Stage One of the Tour of Utah. Ogden will host the Team Presentation, Stage One and the Stage Three start of the UCI 2.1-sanctioned stage race. Tour of Utah is touted as “America’s Toughest Stage RaceTM”.  As part of the Tour’s first stage the local organizing committee will feature activities for all ages at the Ogden Municipal Park throughout the day. Activities include a mayoral community fun ride at 10:45 a.m., bike jousting at 12:00 p.m., the GOAL Foundation’s Kid’s Zone from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and more.
