A Cultural Christmas
The MPC gets in the holiday spirit
Curious to know what Christmas is like around the world?
Well, the MPC is going to host a special family night on Monday, December 5. To
get in the spirit of the holiday season, families will learn about how various
cultures celebrate Christmas. The FHE will take place at 6 p.m. for families
and 7 p.m. for student FHE groups.
This
event is being put on by a collaboration of the MPC and students from a
Recreational Management and Youth Leadership (RMYL) class at BYU. BYU’s
Intercultural Outreach group will also be contributing to the event by giving
quick presentations on other cultures and how they celebrate Christmas. This
special FHE will also include crafts and light refreshments.
“This
is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit while learning about other
cultures and how they celebrate the holidays,” Trenton Bateman, a student from
the RMYL class working on this FHE, said.
This
event is free, but only a limited number of people will be admitted so
reservations must be made in advance. Groups can sign up by calling
801.422.0022 or e-mailing mpc@byu.edu.
