Have An Adventure This Weekend: My Labor Day Suggestions

Are you sitting there staring at your computer trying to figure out what to do today and this weekend? Looking at your wallet wondering how to have fun with the money you don't have?!
Here are my suggestions:
Take A Family Hike! Hiking is one of our family's favorite things to do together, and the weather in Utah this weekend couldn't be more perfect! Here are some of our favorite spots:

• Nobletts
• Red Butte Garden (FREE on Labor Day!)
• Millcreek Canyon
• Ensign Peak (we did this hike recently, but I haven't had time to post a writeup on it)
• Cascade Springs
• Silver Lake
• Old site of Saltair, and treasure hunt!

Check Out A Festival!

There are always so many festivals going on Labor Day weekend! Here are a few of our favorites:

• Grand Oktoberfest at Snowbird
• Brazil Festival at The Gateway
• Antelope Island Balloon and Kite Festival
• Midway's Swiss Days
• Thanksgiving Point Luau

Go Historic!

We love discovering a little bit of history in our town! Here are some great and mostly free places to check out some history this weekend:

• Salt Lake City Cemetery
• Ophir Ghost Town
• Mercur Cemetery
• Camp Floyd
• Golden Spike National Monument
• This Is The Place
• Memory Grove Park
• Old site of Saltair, and treasure hunt!
• Gardner Village

Take A Scenic Drive!

Load up the iPod and take a beautiful drive to see what Utah has to offer. Utah has many scenic drives, and if you blink you might miss something!

• Last weekend we drove to Green River Wyoming, and the drive and mountains were beautiful! It's only a three hour drive, and would be a great Labor Day weekend activity!
