The Hometown Days parade will be Saturday, Aug. 13, starting at 9 a.m. along the traditional parade route: The route begins at Kearns High School, travels south to 5400 South, then goes east on 5400 South, and ends at Big Lots, 4041 West 5415 South.
Following the parade, residents can head over to the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center, 5624 South 4800 West, for the 13th annual Fire, Water and Ice Festival. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $4 for teens ages 12-17, and $3 for children ages 3-12. KOPFC members and children 2 and younger get in free. If tickets are purchased before Aug. 11 at the KOPFC, residents will receive $1 off each ticket. Ride wristbands can be purchased for an additional cost of $2 for unlimited rides.

In addition to carnival rides, there will be live music played by local bands all day, a silent auction, a barbecue challenge, a car show, and a fireworks show. There will also be several food vendors, ice skating, swimming and a teen-only zone.

Enjoy Utah's partner, Gines Auto Service, will also be holding it's own Hometown Days and Customer Appreciation Celebration. Friday will consist of free hot dogs and hamburgers and prize drawings, and Saturday will be the parade, free snowcones, and winners of the prize drawing entries.
