George Eccles Dinosaur Park

Guest blogger Tonya Montez wrote up this post for us, and earned triple points in our Summer Contest! Here's what she had to say:

This summer we decided to have a family vacation with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc.We decided to just take a one day "stay-cation" here in Utah. With so many things to see and do it wasn't an easy task deciding where we should take this one day adventure.

In the end we decided to go to Ogden. Our first stop was at the Hill Aerospace Museum. Next was the Ogden Nature park. This looked like a perfect place for a picnic, and it was!

Then it was off to the George Eccles Dinosaur Park.

The Dinosaur Park is beautifully located near the mouth of Ogden Canyon. At the park in addition to seeing over 8 acres of realistic looking dinosaurs you will find a working paleontology lap, hands on exhibits, and if you need a break from all that check out the dinosaur playground. This is a great place to spend the morning, afternoon, or evening. On the way out check out the gift shop!
