Ever since I was given the book "Salt Lake Then and Now" for Christmas, I have been very interested in the history of the grand buildings that are downtown Salt Lake City. I am preparing a video post of some of the really cool ones with great stories, and that is going to take some time, but I have had a great time and learned a lot preparing it.
I came across this publication from the Utah State Historical Society called "The Historic Buildings of Downtown Salt Lake City", by John S. McCormick. You can view and read the entire book online for FREE by clicking HERE. It has some great pictures and information about the history of the buildings downtown, and even includes addresses.
If you are especially interested in history like I am, you might find it very interesting.
Stay tuned in the next few months for my video post of the buildings downtown that you may drive past every time you are downtown, and may not even notice! If you have special interest in certain buildings, and would like to make sure they are in my video post, email me at michelle@enjoyutah.org and I will make sure to include them.
