Ogden Nature Center

The Ogden Nature Center is a great place to let the kids get some fresh air, walk out the wiggles and learn about the birds they can find in their own backyards. The entrance fee is $4 for adults and $2 for children, but note that children under 2 are free.

The center is designed to provide optimal viewing opportunities for children, with "bird blinds" set up along the marsh that allow guests to watch the birds from behind wooden walls. This is perfect for those that get easily excited and tend to scare off the critters they're trying to view. I accompanied my son's first grade class on a field trip to this center, and even thirty 7 year olds couldn't spook the nesting birds!

They also have birds in exhibits that are either being rehabilitated, or were injured to the point where they can not return to the wild. There are also wild turkeys roaming the grounds, which they share with other expected wildlife such as squirrels, rabbits, deer and bugs!
