Tour the Governor's Mansion (Originally the Kearns Mansion)!

Welcome to the Governor's Mansion of the state of Utah! We feel it an honor and a privilege to reside in this historical home and are humbled as we think of the great individuals who have lived here before. We invite you to visit the mansion and enjoy its beautiful details and rich history.

During an era that combined the grace and dignity of living at the close of the 1800s with the new, highly expressive styles that marked the first decade of the twentieth century, Thomas and Jennie Kearns built a home on the corner of G and Brigham Streets. The story of the Kearns mansion is one steeped in a rich and colorful history.

The Governor's Mansion is open for public tours:
•Address is: 603 East South Temple, Salt Lake City
•June, July, August and December (ending day is December 9, 2010)
•Tuesday and Thursday of the months mentioned above, unless there is a state holiday, then the mansion is closed.
•From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Parking is available east of the Governor's Mansion behind the Utah Arts Council building. The lot is accessible from H Street. For more information, call (801) 538-1005.
