This Saturday is the 145th anniversary of the completion of the first Transcontinental Railroad at Golden Spike National Historic Site in Northern Utah. The day will be full of reenactments and ceremonies.

There will be guest speakers, honoring those that lost their lives while building the transcontinental railroad, 2 re-enactment ceremonies, live music, and more.

View a complete schedule for the day on the Golden Spike website.

Enjoy Utah will be there, so make sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to see photos of the fun events if you are not able to make it!

If you attend, make sure to #EnjoyUtah on all your pictures so we can see them as well as share them with others!

This is a great learning opportunity for kids, especially 4th graders learning about Utah History this school year.
