REVIEW and GIVEAWAY: Citrus Zero Healthy Energy Drink

All month long we have been focusing on getting in shape and health motivations. I am not a big fan of energy drinks because they make me feel jittery and have so many junk ingredients that aren’t good for you, so when I heard about a healthy energy drink option, I was excited to check it out.

Citrus Zero by Mynt is a new option of energy drink for those of us that are want a different option than those available right now on the market. Citrus Zero has 0 calories, 0 grams fat and no transfats, as well as no carbs or cholesterol.

One of my concerns with these type of drinks is that many of them contain artificial sweeteners, which we are finding are just as bad for you. Citrus Zero only has natural ingredients, with energy derived from green tea.

Usually when I drink energy drinks, I am super jittery and my heart rate shoots sky high. Not with Citrus Zero. Instead of making me feel “hyper” and “jittery”, it just made me feel awake enough to carry on with the rest of my day. My first 8.4 fl oz. drink I had on an empty stomach, and it upset my stomach a little bit, so make sure you have something to eat with it. The rest of the 6-pack I had no side effects, and loved it!

Our field expert, Chad, tried one and loved it, and said it gave him really good energy for the gym, but did not give him so much that he was jittery.  “After my workout I was able to go to bed and sleep unlike most energy drinks that would keep me up all night,” Chad said.

The flavor is great with a taste of lemony-limey, with a hint of green tea.
