Take a stroll and down Birdhouse Trail at the Ogden Nature Center to view 66 new birdhouses along with 70+ birdhouses that are all part of the Ogden Nature Center’s annual Birdhouse Exhibit, on display April 19 through August 30, 2014.
This year’s entries show off some true woodworking skills along with wild creativity, and some birdhouses provide excellent, functional abodes for birds. Entries range from elegant to rustic and everything in between. Some of the birdhouses are for sale, with all proceeds going directly to the artist.
The Ogden Nature Center awards cash prizes to several winners each year. This year’s top three awards were:
Best of Show / Commission Award
Brass House by Nathen Byrne of Ogden, Ut.
Judge’s Choice Award
Oriental Beach House by Norm Skanchy of Eden, Ut.
Honorable Mention Award
The Lighthouse by Rick Steen of Salt Lake City, Ut.
