Culture-Me-Mine Date Night

CMM 8x11 Jan 2014
Culture Me Mine: A Date Night

The BYU Museum of Peoples and Cultures (MPC) invites couples to come and experience a night of culture, crafts and fun at the Culture-Me-Mine date night. The date night will take place on Friday, January 24th at 7:00 p.m.

“Students will have an opportunity to be engaged in learning about different cultures in new ways,” said Elizabeth Smith, events specialist at the museum.

Couples will have a chance to compete against each other as well as in groups, for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights. Some games include “Couples Feud” and a scavenger hunt as well as a craft that individuals will have some fun with and take home when the night is over. Refreshments will also be available for couples to enjoy.

The museum will be highlighting its newest and most exciting exhibition yet, “Nuchu: Voices of the Ute People.” The exhibit offers a look into the indigenous Native American tribe of the area and their culture and traditions.

Tickets for “Culture-Me-Mine” are $10 a couple and will be available for purchase at the WSC information desk beginning Monday, January 13th.

The MPC hosts events to serve the academic mission of BYU and care for anthropological, archaeological, and ethnographic collections in the custody of the University. Educating visitors through thrilling events allows the MPC to branch out in creative ways that benefit the BYU community.
