BRIO Tuscan Grille's newest location in City Creek Center will partner with Utah's Hogle Zoo in its first Make a Difference Monday on Monday, Aug. 5, with a portion of proceeds given to the Zoo.
BRIO (meaning "lively" or "full of life") is an upscale affordable restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian food. Guests will enjoy BRIO's northern Italian fare in the new City Creek Center location, which opened on June 27.
"In these first few weeks of being open at City Creek, we have been overwhelmed by the support the community has given us," said Bob Boyland, BRIO City Creek general manager. "BRIO has a tradition of giving back and we are thrilled to partner with Utah's Hogle Zoo, an organization that is so close to our community's heart,"
Through Make a Difference Mondays, a concept unique to BRIO, the restaurant will donate 20 percent of food proceeds on Monday, Aug. 5 to the Zoo.
Utah's Hogle Zoo is a Utah treasure. Located on 42 acres in a unique canyon setting at the mouth of Emigration Canyon in Salt Lake City's eastern foothills, the Zoo is one of the top-visited attractions in the state. The Zoo's newest exhibit, Rocky Shores, features crystal clear underwater viewing and expansive new homes for polar bears, grizzlies, sea lions and other animals of the North American pacific coastline.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, BRIO will be one of nearly 30 restaurants featured at Zoo Rendezvous, the Zoo's largest fundraiser and the "Wildest Party in Town." In addition to the donation of a portion of proceeds to the Zoo, patrons visiting BRIO on Monday, Aug. 5, will also be given a code to purchase Rendezvous tickets for $50 off the regular price.
BRIO features lunch, brunch, happy hour and dinner and is open seven days a week. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
BRIO City Creek is the restaurant's second location in Utah. (BRIO Fashion Place opened in 2011.) The restaurant is owned by Bravo Brio Restaurant Group, which is based in Columbus, Ohio.
