With the dry and hot summer we have had so far, there are many restrictions when it comes to when and where you can light fireworks.
Fireworks Restrictions:
The Utah Department of Public Safety has listed the firework restrictions by local communities in Utah. Because this changes frequently, please refer to the links provided on their website for up to date and current information.
When can I light fireworks?:
According to Utah law, fireworks can be lit three days before, during, and three days after July 4th and July 24th. Even though fireworks are exempt from noise ordinance laws in most counties of Utah, please be courteous to your neighbors and use common sense when and where you choose to light fireworks.
I don't think that we should only be able to light fireworks around the fourth of July and the 24th of July. I think that we should be able to light fireworks in May too. Because in May, we have Memorial Day. I think that we should be allowed to light fireworks to honor our fallen veterans. This is only my opinion so you don't have to agree with it.
ReplyDeleteIt is so important that we do honor our veterans. However, many of our veterans suffer from PTSD and the fireworks are very unpleasant for them. The month of July has become a nightmare for my husband due to the flash backs that the fireworks trigger. I vote it is high time we find a new way to honor our veterans so they too can enjoy it.
