--Final chance to see exclusive Intermountain engagement of the largest collection of real mummies ever assembled before it leaves Salt Lake City.

Visitors have just 28 days left to see Mummies of the World, the largest exhibition of real mummies and related artifacts ever assembled.

The groundbreaking exhibit experienced the most successful exhibit opening to date at The Leonardo, debuting on Presidents’ Day Weekend to more than 7,000 visitors.

The presentation in Salt Lake City marks the seventh stop of the exhibition’s tour, and the exhibit’s exclusive Intermountain Region engagement.

“It has been so rewarding to see the support our community has shown this exciting exhibition,” said Alexandra Hesse, executive director of The Leonardo. “An important part of the museum’s role is to bring world-class traveling events like this to the people of Utah and the region.  We are honored to have been selected as a stop on this prestigious tour.”

“We are so pleased to have been able to bring Mummies of the World to the Salt Lake City market, and to provide the public here with this rare opportunity to learn about the history, stories and science involved in the study of mummies,” says Marc Corwin, president of American Exhibitions, Inc. “We encourage those in the area interested in experiencing the exhibition to be sure and plan ahead, as this is their last chance to see it before the mummies make their move to Portland.”

Visitors are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets to reduce wait time. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.theleonardo.org/ or www.mummiesoftheworld.com, at The Leonardo ticket desk, or by calling (801) 531-9800.
