Nightmare on 13th to Open
Sept. 14th, Launches Three New Nightmares
New Nightmares “NetherBeast,”“Cirque
Du Fear” and “Zombie Apocalypse” Have Overtaken the Haunted
Attraction
Nightmare on 13th (http://www.nightmareon13th.com)
will open for the 2012 Halloween season on Friday, Sept. 14, with three new
nightmares having overtaken the entire haunted house: “NetherBeast,” “Cirque Du
Fear” and “Zombie Apocalypse.” The new nightmares will be introduced by Dr.
Nightmare, the newly added narrator.
To celebrate the
attraction’s overhaul and infestation of zombies and dark, mystical creatures,
Nightmare on 13th will host a Zombie Party opening weekend, Friday
and Saturday, Sept. 14 and 15. Zombies and victims are invited to attend.
The New
Nightmares
NetherBeast: This hair-raising nightmare plunges
guests deep into the evil domain where beasts rule and devour those brave enough
to enter. Participants will encounter deteriorating ancient relics as they
wander among jungle lairs, webbed caverns and overgrown ruins of a forgotten
world.
Cirque
Du Fear: This
nightmare is a twisted corruption of innocent childhood dreams of carnivals and
circuses. Participants experience a state of delirium in this living funhouse
where up is down, black is white and gravity makes no
sense.
In addition to the
nightmares, Dr. Nightmare will narrate patrons through the newly revamped
“Nightmare Theater,” where he steps out of the shadows to let them know why the
nightmares in their heads keep getting worse and more frightening. The theater
is a production that sets the stage for what’s to come with an animatronic show
explaining the three new nightmares.
Nightmare on
13th is located at 300 West 1300 South in Salt Lake City and will be
open during the following hours:
-
Weekends (Fridays and
Saturdays): Sept. 14 through Oct. 27 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight, and Nov. 2-3
from 7:30 to 11 p.m. (closed Sundays)
-
Weekdays (Monday
through Thursday): Oct. 8 through Nov. 1 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. (open until 11
p.m. on Oct. 17-18 and Halloween night)
Patrons will receive
a wristband and be admitted to all three nightmares for just $20. Wristbands can
also be used to bounce back to the nightmare for $5 on a “bounce back” night,
but only if the wristband has not been removed.
