Wild Wednesday / Shorebirds 101

Get up close and personal with Einstein, the Ogden Nature Center’s American White Pelican, whose beak can hold more than his belly can. Learn about the special adaptations that shorebirds have.  Discuss the importance of the Great Salt Lake and learn about the different shorebirds that call Utah home. Meet in the Visitor Center.

The dog days of summer are finally here!  There’s no better time to grab a net and explore what lives within the Nature Center’s ponds.  You never know what or who you might find.  Meet in the Visitor Center.

Join an Ogden Nature Center naturalist in celebrating Utah’s unique history.   Travel back in time as we share stories and folktales from Utah’s past. Then take a short hike to learn about Utah’s special geologic history.   Meet in the Visitor Center.
 
FREE Summer Saturdays at the Ogden Nature Center
All Saturdays in July and through August 18, 9 am – 4 pm
FREE admission for everyone, all day, thanks to Weber County R.A.M.P. funding
Also free nature activities at 10 am and 2 pm every Saturday.

Ogden Valley Garden Tour to benefit the Ogden Nature Center
Saturday, July 14,  9 am - 3 pm
Tickets are $15 for Ogden Nature Center members / $20 nonmembers
Tour eight magnificent residential gardens in Ogden Valley.  Discover ideas for your own garden and revel in the colors, textures and design of these unique spaces. Purchase tickets online at www.ogdennaturecenter.org <http://www.ogdennaturecenter.org> , or in person at the Ogden Nature Center -- 966 W. 12th St., or at the gardens the day of the tour.  For descriptions of the gardens and more information, please go to www.ogdennaturecenter.org <http://www.ogdennaturecener.org> .  The tour will be held rain or shine -- no refunds.  Please pick up your tickets and tour map at any of the gardens.  There will be art and treats in the gardens -- some free samples and some available for purchase.  All proceeds will benefit the Ogden Nature Center.  The Garden Tour is presented by The Ardent Gardener Landscape Design.
 
Summer Camps at the Ogden Nature Center
