authors of books with a Utah theme, are invited to enter the Utah Book Award,
which was established to honor exceptional achievements by Utah writers and to
recognize outstanding literature written with a Utah theme or setting.
The Utah Center for the Book, housed at the Utah Humanities
Council, invites nominations beginning January 1, 2012 for the annual award,
which will honor books published in 2011 that are judged to best represent the

founded the Utah Book Award in 1999, annual awards are given in the genres of
fiction, nonfiction, poetry, young adult and children's literature.
