A recent poll showed that more than 50% of Americans vow to appreciate loved ones and spend more time with family and friends in 2011.
All of us here at Enjoy Utah! are thrilled that this is the top resolution for 2011! That is exactly what Enjoy Utah! was created for.....to help you find ways to spend more time with family and friends! After all, "time is love".
What can YOU do to create more time with family and friends?
- Schedule it!
- Important events like work meetings, parties, concerts, and others, you schedule them onto your calendar to make sure you don't allow anything else to get in the way of that. Your family and friends deserve this same special treatment.
- Decide on a date and time you are going to spend time with family and friends, and don't let anything get in the way.
- Make sure the people involved know about your plan, and that they plan accordingly as well.
- Setting aside a certain day of the week or month helps everybody stay on the same page. If the entire family knows that the first Saturday is family day, or the second Wednesday of the month is lunch with your best friend day, then it's easier for everybody to schedule and plan for it.
- Make a plan and make it fun!
- There is always so much to do, the problem isn't finding what to do, it's how to fit it all in!
- Take advantage of what Enjoy Utah! has to offer! Go to our calendar page if you are looking for a specific date on when to plan and activity, or browse through our seasonal ideas or list of places to see and do according to category and county.
- You can always email us for ideas if you can't find it on our site! contact@enjoyutah.org
- The Dating Divas always have fun ideas for date nights.
- Time Is Love blog also has some great information.
- Get ideas from family and friends! What have they done in the past that they have enjoyed? If you concentrate on letting each member of your family take turns choosing the family activity, they are more likely to participate and enjoy themselves.
How you spend your time is more important than how you spend your money. Money mistakes can be corrected, but time is gone forever. ~ David Norris
