FREE Carole Sing-Along at Energy Solutions Arena

The Larry H. Miller family will continue its tradition of hosting the Christmas Carole Sing-Along for members of the community. For the second year, classical New Age pianist and composer Jon Schmidt will perform several times throughout the evening. The event will take place on Monday, December 20, at 7 p.m. at EnergySolutions Arena in downtown Salt Lake City. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

"Christmas is a very special time for family and friends to be together and enjoy the holiday spirit. This event was one of the highlights of the holiday season for Larry each year, and his dream was to fill the EnergySolutions Arena so that anyone who wants to participate can share in the Christmas spirit. My family is pleased to be able to continue this tradition, and we look forward to sharing it with the community,"said Gail Miller.

The Christmas Carole Sing-Along will feature a 30-piece orchestra with music specially arranged for the concert. The popular event is sponsored by the Miller family and composer/conductor Robert C. Bowden. Bowden is a long-time conductor of the holiday concert and former conductor of the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus.

The Christmas Carole Sing-Along is entering its 12th holiday season at EnergySolutions Arena and was previously hosted at the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square. An annual community favorite, this year’s performance marks the concert’s 26th year of production.

Admission is free of charge and the public is welcome. No tickets are necessary, and seating is general admission. Audience members are encouraged to sing, and printed programs with song lyrics will be provided.

While supplies last, each guest who attends the event will receive a free holiday treat, a Jazz game ticket, a Bees game ticket, a coupon for Megaplex movie popcorn, and a voucher for a kart session at Miller Motorsports Park. (Some restrictions apply. See details on respective coupons.)

Free parking is available in the Park Place parking lot, which is located kitty-corner from the arena (enter on 300 West).
