Labor Day Events 2010

What To Do On Labor Day?!

So, it's Monday, and you have the day off! Now what? Besides the typical work in the yard, clean the house, blah blah blah, what else is there to do?

Check out these events we found going on Monday September 6th, Labor Day.
(Most of these are free, but some may require a fee or to purchase tickets. We posted them where anyway to give you a variety of events to choose from.)

Take a drive up the canyon to view the leaves!

Park City's 113th Miner's Day celebration

Murray Acoustic Music Festival

Murray City Labor Day Community Breakfast
7:30am to 10:30am. Breakfast is $4 Adults, $3 Children, or $11 Family

Fort Buenaventura Labor Day Rendezvous
Archery shooting, mountain man run, candy cannon, tall tales competition, and more!

Barnyard Buddies Petting Zoo and Pony Rides
They are located in the SouthWest corner of Gardner Village. Admission $2; Pony rides $3 .

South Davis Labor Day Triathlon
Sprint, Novice, Youth, and Relay Divisions. Custom Race shirts, awards and prizes for participants.

CONCERT: KC and the Sunshine Band
After 37 years, 100 million records and more than 100 concerts annually, the musical rays of KC & The Sunshine Band are shining bright! Get in the mood to party as the Grammy-winning 70’s supergroup fuses disco, funk, pop and R&B for a totally entertaining parade of infectious dance music.

Payson's Onion Days
This annual event is well-attended and for good reasons, it features a craft fair, carnival, live entertainment, a parade on Labor Day, etc.

Camp Floyd Days

Camp Floyd State Park in conjunction with the Utah Territorial Civilian Commission and Utah Civil War Association are hosting a Civil War Encampment every Labor Day Weekend at Camp Floyd State Park. The event will allow visitors to experience camp life and participate in several activities performed by soldiers of Johnston's Army. Events include reenactments, encampments, storytelling, stagecoach rides, firearm and cannon demonstrations, marches, drills, 1861 period games, and photos in period uniform.

Utah Museum of Natural History
Labor Day is also the first Monday of the month, so admission to the museum is free! Shorter hours this time around though, noon to 5pm. For more information, click above and link to the website.
