Enjoy Vernal

We recently returned from the Vernal area, and we found some great adventures along the way! Vernal is known as the Dinosaur Capital of the World, and that's exactly what we found.
Try the Utah Fieldhouse of Natural History Museum to learn about dinosaurs and see life-size figures in the garden. Visit Dinosaur National Monument to see the newly reopened quarry where over 100 individual dinosaurs have been excavated. You can also hike to a dinosaur trackway at Red Fleet State Park. If you're in for a real adventure, drive out to John Jarvie Historical Ranch. Or, if you are into animals that are still alive, try the Ouray National Wildlife Refuge-- we saw porcupines hanging from the trees! Check out these reviews, and other reviews of museums, hikes, constellations, and other types of adventures at Utah Valley Family Adventures!
