Salt Lake County Fair Concert Series
 
SALT LAKE CITY–Salt Lake County Fair organizers, Mountain America Credit Union and Z104 present the Salt Lake County Fair Concert Series featuring Josh Gracin and Kix Brooks. Josh Gracin will open the fair with a free concert on Wednesday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m. Country superstar Kix Brooks will headline a paid concert on Thursday, August 9 at 7 p.m.
The series consists of a free concert on opening day as well as a paid concert the following day. Opening artists for the free Josh Gracin concert will be Jon Pardi and new artist Jana Kramer. The concert is free, however, tickets are required. Tickets are limited four per person and are available beginning July 23 at participating Mountain America branches. Tickets are not available at the drive up.  
Kix Brooks will headline a paid concert on Thursday evening with special guests Matt Stillwell and Gwen Sebastian of “The Voice.” Tickets for this concert are $10 in advance and $13 day of the show. Tickets are now available and may be purchased in advance at www.Z104.regtix.com 
Country music singer Josh Gracin first gained attention as the fourth-place finalist on the second season of American Idol.  His self-titled debut album was released in 2004. It produced the number one hit, "Nothin' to Lose," as well as two, top five hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. The album was also certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Kix Brooks
Renowned country music artist, Kix Brooks is best known as half of the duo Brooks & Dunn. Brooks and Dunn have won more Country Music Association awards and Academy of Country Music awards than any act in the history of country music. After 20 years of touring, they disbanded in 2009. Brooks has enjoyed success as a songwriter and is now returning with a solo career. His first solo album is expected in 2012.
“We are excited to offer a concert series with this caliber of talent. The line up is unmatched,” said Sarah Dibble, Salt Lake County Fair program coordinator.
The Salt Lake County Fair will take place August 8-11, 2012. The four-day event will feature a variety of entertainment including carnival attractions, demolition derby, live entertainment, car show, petting zoo, indoor exhibits, and more than 150 vendors and booths.
