Walk and Wag for Wellness with Intermountain Therapy Animals

Did you know that walking with your best canine friend is a GREAT way to stay both healthy and happy? People with pets get more exercise, go to the doctor less often, and suffer less depression overall! Bring your family and your dog(s) to take a stroll with us through beautiful Fort Douglas on Saturday morning, September 10th, anytime between 8-10 a.m. Come and learn ways to have fun and stay healthy with your dog. After the walk, stay for the health fair. Head down to the stadium and drop your dog off at the dog sitter! Free dog sitting will be available until noon.

5K Run in Rhythm for AFib Awareness

Rice Eccles Stadium

Come join University of Utah Health Care’s CARMA (Comprehensive Arrhythmia Research & Management) Center inrunning or walking for AFib. Atrial Fibrillation is a cardiac arrhythmia that affects more than four million Americans and causes 20 percent of all strokes.  Bring the entire family and join in this year’s theme of patients vs. doctors. Dress up in lab coats, patient gowns or as your favorite mad scientist for AFib! Run in Rhythm 5K is FREE and the first 500 people to register will receive a free t-shirt.
