Get Organized (GO) Part Two: Money

Part Two of a Four-Part Series on Getting Organized from local professional cleaner and organizer, Jeanie Bigham:

Getting Organized Hurdle #2: MONEY
“There's no such thing as a free lunch”

If you think about it, there really isn't.
  • You have to pay for the gas or the bus to take you to that free lunch.
  • You have to pay for the clothes you are wearing to go out in public to that free lunch.
When it comes to organizing, you might have to spend a little money. If you are smart you do not have to spend a lot. There are so many books, websites and blogs about organizing that you can get for free.

The library is a great start. Yes, you will have to pay money to get yourself to the library but the information is free unless you return you book late.

Here are some great books on organizing:
The other part of organizing that costs money can be the shelves, boxes, bins ect. Second hand stores, free cycle websites, friends and family, and just being creative with what you have can keep the cost down.

You may also want to spend money hiring a professional, like me, to help you get started. Do some research and ask around to find the best deal. I try to keep my prices on the lower end and charge by the hour to fit many customers’ budgets.

If you get overwhelmed give me a call. It's always a good idea to get an outside person with no attachments to your stuff to help you organize. To check out me and my cleaning/organizing business, go to my website. I will gladly come to your rescue!
