Saturdays, December 11 & 18, 2010 – SALT LAKE CITY – People’s Market’s Holiday Markets feature photography, artwork, jewelry, crocheted hats and baby items, clothing, one-of-a-kind aprons, soaps, beautiful wood-work by master wood carvers, and much more. The event takes place December 11 and 18 from noon to 8:00pm. All products are hand-made by local artisans.
“Trolley Square is excited to host the People’s Market Holiday Market this season,” says Dawn Katter of Trolley Square. “We are always looking for the 'best of' in local and regional artistry.”
“Come out and support local entrepreneurs," said Rosalyn Moreno, president of the People’s Market. "They are the lifeblood and future of our local economy."
People’s Market is also supporting Utah Cultural Celebration Center’s Winter Market. This one-day event will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City, Utah. Winter Market will showcase Utah’s finest handcrafted arts and ethnic products. Live music and dance performances, a holiday tree exhibit, and diverse food offerings will compliment the festive environment.
Performing at the Winter Market are Irish Duo, Ko Ngati Hiona (New Zealand American Society), Best of Central African Dance, Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Choir, Beehive Quartet, Chilean Dance Group, Paso Peru (Peruvian dance group). Classical Spanish Guitar by Gabino Valino. Admission is free to visitors.
