South Temple - Self-Guided Tour

Yesterday I drove up to the Salt Lake City Cemetery with my son just to look at "cool graves". My post on that will come as Fall approaches and Halloween draws near, but today's post is about what we saw on the way to the City Cemetery.

As we drove along South Temple, my 4 year old son commented on all of the cool buildings that were "like museums mixed with castles". It brought back memories of my interior design class in High School when we took a walking tour of South Temple to look at the architecture of the buildings that make their home on South Temple.

You can take a self-guided tour of South Temple, and see all of the buildings for yourself.

Click Here for a website that will tell you all about the self-guided tours of downtown Salt Lake City. Scroll down for the specific one about South Temple.

Click Here for a map of South Temple street and all of the buildings' names and locations. You will want to print this out and bring with you on your walking tour.

Click Here for a detailed description of all the buildings, why they were built, the address of each building, who they were built by, etc. You will also want to print this out and bring with you when you go.
Click Here for another detailed description of all the buildings, but this one is geared towards kids ages 9-12. It is called "Time Travel On South Temple". You will also want to print this and have with you on your tour.
