The 2nd Annual Convention of Scarecrow to be held from October 1st through November 1st on the front lawn of The Homestead. The Annual Scarecrow Convention, sponsored by The Homestead Resort has included a large display of uniquely “Stuffy” characters designed by Homestead departments and some of our vendors.



 We took a drive there yesterday, and had a BLAST! I was expecting just cute little scarecrows scattered across the front lawn......but was I wrong! It was so much more than that! I couldn't believe the creativity of all of the scarecrows! A family favorite was "The Harvest Moon", which was....well.....I'll let you use your imagination on what that is! :)
My kids had a blast checking out the scarecrows, and taking numerous trips to the top of the crater, then inside the crater, then back to the top, inside again, until we were worn out. While there, we had lunch at Fanny's Grill, which was excellent! The waitress even brought our kids a loaf of  bread to feed the fish swimming in the pond next to our patio table! It was a great time, and Grandma and Grandpa even met us there to see the scarecrows and head over to Chick's Cafe in Heber afterward for dinner! It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
